In essence the GoWISE USA GW22641 Turbo Air Fryer works with the same principle other air fryers do: Using Rapid Air Technology, hot air circulates around the food ensuring a moist and crispy result.

Since you only need to use a small amount of oil or fat, your food will be a lot healthier and your waist line smaller.

This air fryer however has a few extra features over the average air fryer:

I have received several messages from visitors regarding the use of the turbo button on the GoWISE USA GW22641 Turbo Air Fryer.

Granted, the manual is not clear on this, so I emailed the GoWise customer service who were quite quick to respond:

The Turbo setting is the fastest way to cook, hence the name “Turbo”. It’s set at the highest possible temperature, 450 degrees Fahrenheit, at 15 minutes.

The GoWISE USA Turbo Air Fryer is the largest(10.5 Qt) of their range of air fryers so far. (The GoWISE USA GW22631 is their second largest with a 5.8 qt capacity.)

• Bake bread using the rack.
• Or make one the recipes from the cookbook, which is included with your purchase. (The Victorian sponge cake and shredded beef enchiladas are my favorites!).

Overview

The GoWISE USA GW22631 has an impressive 5.8 quart capacity and can be used to bake, fry, roast and grill food using little to no fat. The air fryer features touchscreen controls with 7 preset programs which include chips, chicken, meat, steak, cake, fish and shrimp.

There’s also the option of manually setting the temperature and time to your preferences.

The temperature settings range from 170 – 400 degrees Fahrenheit and can be set with a 30 minute timer. When cooking is done the air fryer will switch to standby mode. This is a great feature as I hate burned food, don’t you?

The air fryer basket has a non stick coating and can be popped in the dishwasher for an easy clean. You can wipe down the exterior of the air fryer with a clean cloth.

One snafu with the basket though is that it does not slide into the fryer easily. There’s one customer who has a solution for this right here.

GoWise USA Air Fryer Uses

According to GoWise, you can use their 8-in-1 Air Fryer to make anything from fries to cakes. However to bake a cake or any (semi-)liquid foods you need to buy a special pan which comes at an extra cost.

Aside from cake, you can use the GoWise to prepare any foods that can be fried including French fries, chicken wings, burger patties, fish, and drumsticks. These foods can all be prepared with the pan and basket included, so no extra accessories are needed.

The capacity of the air fryer is 2.5 qt which translates to 4 portions of French fries or 4-5 chicken wings.

The GoWise air fryer can NOT be used to fry a whole turkey. You can however cut up turkey in smaller parts and then air fries them.

Battered foods (like fish) can be fried in the basket, but this does require a spritz of oil. However, this would still be healthier and less greasy than using a deep fryer. 

One drawback is that the hot air fryer can only prepare 1 type of food. The Philips 9230 Air Fryer has a metal rack, which can be used to double-layer food like fries and fish fingers in the basket.

GoWise USA Air Fryer Ease Of Use

The control panel on the air fryer looks pretty impressive but is actually pretty easy to use. You can use the preset buttons or use the manual function to select time and temperature to your requirements

The temperature ranges from 176-392 F which is pretty standard and matches most competing models.

The timer can be set to a maximum of 30 minutes. This should be sufficient for most foods including chicken wings and French fries.
