Farberware Air Fryer HF-919B Review

The Farberware airfryer can grill, bake, roast, and fry using the hot air circulation technology. Depending on the type of food you’re preparing you can use little to no oil to get crispy fried foods.

Examples of food you can prepare in the Faberware Air Fryer: roasted potatoes, onion rings, drum sticks, French fries, chicken wings, egg rolls, and steak (yes steak!)

Controls

Out of the box this air fryer does not look very sophisticated; there are just 2 control dials for temperature and time settings.

If you’re a lover of air fryers with digital panels and cooking presets, then I guess you can stop reading here 🙂 and check out the Philips HD9741 instead.

You can set the temperature settings up to 400 F and the timer up to 30 minutes. When the air fryer is finished you will hear a polite “ding” and it shuts off automatically.

Two indicator lights show you when the air fryer is on and preheated.

Size

The size of this air fryer is 3.2 qt (medium capacity) and most suitable for a small family of 2-3 people.

If you have a bigger family or are a big eater I would suggest you take a look at the Philips XL avance.

The air fryer comes with a recipe book featuring 25+ recipes. If this is not sufficient then check out this fabulous recipe book or use good old Google or YouTube for free recipes.

Cleaning the air fryer is easy: just wipe down the main appliance with a little soap and water and the non-stick basket can be popped into the dishwasher.

If you’re a novice at air frying, this would be a budget option to get your feet wet.

You won’t be sorry when you buy this air fryer; you will get a quality appliance that does exactly what the more expensive air fryers do, but at a much lower price. Just make sure the capacity of this air fryer suits your needs.

Farberware Air Fryer Cooking Tips

There are many foods to be prepared with this air fryer. We have some tips for cooking the different types of food:

Chicken Drumsticks

Season and spray a bit of oil on the drumsticks and set the temperature dial to 350 F. Set the timer dial to 20 minutes and they will come out crispy and juicy.

Frozen Chicken Nuggets

Preheat to 400 F for a few minutes, add the chicken nuggets, and set the timer for 10 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through.

Fries (Frozen from the supermarket)

You need to pre-heat the air fryer for a few minutes at 400 F. Add the frozen fries (up to 2 lbs) to the basket and set the timer to 10 minutes. When finished shake the basket and fry for another 10 minutes for golden crispy fries.

Onion Rings

Add the onion rings to the basket and set the temperature dial to 400 F and the timer at 7-10 minutes for deliciously crispy rings without the extra calories.
